I Built This Agency Because I Got Tired of Being Disappointed by the Last One.

My Story

Every Side of the Equation

I've been on every side of the ecommerce PPC equation.

I've been the owner running my own ads at 2am after processing orders all day. I've been the owner who hired an agency and spent six months wondering if they were actually doing anything. I've been the owner who hired an in-house employee and realized I was now managing someone else's learning curve with my money.

Every option had the same problem: the person managing my ads had never sat where I was sitting. They'd never felt the weight of writing a $200,000 check for ad spend and not knowing if it would come back. They optimized for metrics on a dashboard. I needed someone who optimized for what actually hits the bank account.

So I became that person.

I took everything I learned as an owner — about cash flow, about margins, about the difference between revenue and profit — and combined it with the PPC expertise I'd built over years of trial and error. Then I started Waymaker Technologies to do for other ecommerce brands what I wished someone had done for me: build PPC systems that treat ad spend like what it is — real money with real consequences.

The Duo

Two People. By Design.

Ryan Stubblefield

Strategy & Client Partnership

Founder, Waymaker Technologies

I build the funnel architecture, make every optimization decision, and I'm on every call. When you hire Waymaker, you work with me directly. No junior account managers. No handoffs. I've been the owner on the other side of those handoffs, and I know how that story ends.

Engineering & Automation

Co-Founder, Waymaker Technologies

My partner is a computer scientist who builds the technical infrastructure behind the campaigns. The catalog feed automation that syncs custom labels across four platforms daily. The cross-platform reporting dashboards that show what actually matters. The automated scripts that catch wasted spend before it becomes a problem. Most agencies have account managers doing this manually in spreadsheets. We have custom-built systems.

This isn't a two-person team because we're small. It's a two-person team because senior strategy plus engineering-grade automation is how you manage complex accounts without the overhead, handoffs, and communication breakdowns that come with a 20-person agency.

Who I Work With

Ecommerce Brands of All Shapes & Sizes

  • Revenue range: $1M–$50M
  • Ad spend: $10K–$500K/month across 1–4 platforms
  • Catalog size: often 5,000–200,000+ SKUs
  • Common verticals: auto parts, industrial supply, home improvement, outdoor/sporting goods, specialty retail
  • Common situation: “We know our PPC could be better, but we don't know what ‘better’ looks like”

If your PPC feels like it could be better — I'd like to hear about it.
